Christmas

Christmas was lots of fun this year.  Even though Brody didn't grasp the concept it is just more fun having a little one around.  This year we tried to start some new traditions of celebrating Christmas with relatives on days other than Christmas Eve and Christmas.  Spacing out the celebrations made Christmas much more enjoyable for us and I hope everyone else as well.  Brody of course got very spoiled and between the gifts he received for his Birthday and Christmas our house has been taken over by toys.  The amount of stuff is driving Dave nuts but it doesn't bother me to much.  

Dave and I tried to start some traditions of our own, but failed in our follow through.  Next year we will do better.  I guess it is a good thing Brody won't remember, how we didn't fair so well this year.  Either way, we spent the Holidays healthy and happy with family and in the long run that is all that really matters.  

1 Year Birthday Party

First Birthday

Brody's first Birthday Party was a HIT!!!  I could not have imagined it to have been any better.  He had a blast, we had a blast and I believe our guest had a blast as well.  We all gathered at Pazzos Pizza Pub on UK's Campus.  I know a bar seams like a strange place to celebrate a 1 year old Birthday but the venue couldn't have been any better.  We had the entire downstairs room reserved and served pizza and soft drinks while our guest mingled and the kids ran all over.  Brody had so much fun walking all over the room and to my surprise was not upset by the loud noise.  He helped me open his presents and despite a few meltdowns he handled that task well.  

I can not thank everyone enough for attending and a double thanks to those who brought him gifts.  I hope to send out thank you notes this week since there were so many children helping us open his gifts please forgive me if I thank you for the wrong gift.  ;)
