A few weeks ago Grandma, Aunt Emily, Uncle Barrett, and I took all the kiddos to the Mary Queen of Heaven festival. It was super crowded and hard to keep up with everyone but we all had a great time. Brody rode his first rides, although he was not very impressed. He was scared of the pony ride but Mamma made him do it anyway. ;) He eventually warmed up to the poor little pony. We ate pizza, funnel cakes, and best of all Brody got his first lollipop. He LOVED it!!!!! He was one Happy Little Boy!!

Florida Family Vacation
We spent our family vacation (minus Aaron) in good ole Ponte Vedra Fl this year. Brody had so much more fun this year. Last year he was just to little to really enjoy the water.
Nana and Clark arrived a few days before Dave, Brody and myself. Brody did great on the plane like always. We flew on a Saturday and since Dave's friend Tyler lives in Ponte Vedra, we quickly got Brody settled in and Dave and I left to go fishing with Tyler. We unfortunately were not to lucky in the fishing department but we did have fun ridding all around in the boat and drinking a few cocktails.
The next day we had a slow morning and went to breakfast at one of favorite diners. Tyler had told us about this party on the pier at St. Augustine called Ragae Sunday. We hated to leave Brody with my parents again, but this was our last opportunity to see Tyler since he was working all week.
Ragae Sunday ended up being a bit cold and rainy but it was still fun. I enjoyed myself but there is something about drinking and dancing that made me feel very out of place. There were lots if people there way older than us but I just feel I am not in that place in my life right now. We still had a lot of fun.
The rest if the week was filled with family time. We played for hours at the beach and pool. Brody loved jumping in the pool off the side. He didn't mind that he would go under at all. The ocean was a bit of a love/hate relationship. Brody would run in after a wave but get taken down by the next wave. He often skinned up his knees, and sometimes would cry but he loved going back in. The sand was another big hit. He enjoyed stomping down every attempt of building a sand castle that Daddy and Clark built. Throwing the sand was another favorite activity that he often got in trouble for.
At night we attended the many activities at the beach club. One night they had live music which Brody lived to dance to and he always clapped for them after each song. The head singer told Brody he gave the best applause of the night. This same night Brody met a girl that he had a BIG crush on. When she would walk by he would stop and stare. She would smile at him and he would run away. He often would point at her and say, "this, this, this. " She was such a good sport and would come over to talk to him and Brody would just stare. He could say or mumble a thing. All of us, except Brody, knew this relationship wouldn't work because she was probably 20 years older. Dave was proud though because she was really pretty. ;)
Another highlight of the trip for Brody was ridding on the "beep, beep." We used the golf art most days to run to the store, Starbucks, or the beech. Brody lived honking the horn, and would sing over every cobblestone bridge.
The timing worked out, and to Dave's delight we did family pictures in and around the beach for Brody's 18 month photos. We unfortunately didn't hit sunrise early enough to get great pictures but I'm pretty happy with them overall. Brody wasn't to animated that morning and I think we really only got two smiles out of him but he still looks cute to me. I just can't believe he is already 18 months old. He did so many "big kid" thing on this trip. He drank out of a big boy cup with a straw and even ate lunch in a booster seat and not a high chair. Dave and I enjoy watching him learn all these new things but it also makes my heart so sad. Slow down little buddy!!!
