Well it's almost the end of February and I'm just now writing this. 2016 has been busy so far. We returned home from Florida in January and Dave and I went back to work. I am excited to see what this year continues to bring us. Jett is almost a year old and I finally feel like we are keeping our head above water with two kids. Dave even was gone almost the entire month of February and with the exception of a few moments I didn't feel like I was drowning. I quit breastfeeding on our vacation to Florida and it was amazing how much stress that illeviated. I hope I can remember that feeling if we have a third. The cutest trade off since I stopped nursing is that Jett now sucks his thumb. It's usually just at night as he is falling asleep, but it is ADORABLE!!!
Jett is now sleeping through the night pretty consistently. He is starting to babble more and I can't wait to hear him start saying actual words. He loves his brother and watches everything his brother does. We are currently really pushing the sippy cup and he is almost off bottles. He crawls and cruises around furniture all day. He even took two steps to me the other day. I think he will be walking by his first Bithday.
Brody's vocabulary has exploded lately. I love hearing him talk about everything in his life. We have a few new routines, like eating cereal with mommy every morning before work, and we must say Merry Pipmas every night before bed. He also has been telling everyone his name is "George" and he insist on being called that. We are just going with it, and hoping it is a phase. He is really into learning his letters and can read the words, "is, the, he, and in." He is growing up so fast! I wish he would just stay 3 forever.
