Brody is 6!

I had a hard time with this birthday.  6 just seems so much older than 5.  He is a real kid now and is not little anymore.  I also kept thinking in just two times the time he has been with us he will be gone and off to college.  To celebrate this year we told Brody that he could pick two friends to do something fun with.  After lots of consideration he choose Brayden, and Logan.  He later asked if he could invite one girl from his class, Gentry because she was shy and didn't have many friends.  I wasn't sure if he this was a ploy to invite three friends are not but I went with it and said yes.  At his party Gentry's Mom, confirmed what Brody had told me so we were very proud of how he recognized Gentry and wanted to invite her.

New Truck and Farm Life

Sadly I wrecked our old truck and we were forced to purchase a new one.  It had been a long time coming since the old truck couldn't fit us all, the passenger airbag was broke and the drivers seat belt was a little sketchy.

Picking Out Our Tree

It was a wet, rainy day but we continued the tradition at Barkers Christmas Tree Farm and picked out yet another live tree.

Thanksgiving

Some how my Mom pulled off the impossible.  She hosted Thanksgiving for not just us but for Holly and her extended family who were added rather last minute.  Sadly they were all in town for her brother, Kris's funeral.  They day seemed to go off with out any glitches and despite the unfortunate circumstances bringing us all together I do believe everyone enjoyed themselves.

Tristan Finally Walks

Just the other night we had a dance party and with Brody and Jett's help Tristan finally took some unassisted steps.  I'm not sure who was cuter, Tristan being so proud of himself or big proud brother Brody.  Jett on the other hand felt a little left out and kept having us watch and clap for him as he would walk across the room.

Jett's Special Overnight With Nana and Clark

Jett got to spend a night alone with Nana and Clark and to say he was excited was an understatement.  He waited by the window with his backpack on , just waiting for them to get there.  He got to spend a whole night with them alone and went to a special pre K art day at the Berringer Crawford museum.

November Week Off

I just recently got to take a week off of work.  I got to do some things with the boys that I have been wanting to do for awhile.  We spent one day at Malibu Jacks having fun, Jett, Tristan and I got to go eat lunch with Brody at school and we went on a 2.8 mile hike at Raven Run.
