Summer Vacation to Ponte Vedra

Although fear of Covid was always in the background we all still had a great time on vacation.  We flew down this year mainly because my back is still hurting from an injury I sustained during surgery in Jan.  I am unable to sit for along period of time so flying was the only option.  Brody and Jett were so exited to fly and Tristan was a bit scared but he did great.

We didn't venture out to restaurants, or around the town activities and mainly just stuck to the pool and the beach.  The boys had a great time swimming and staying up late every night.  Brody got really good at boogie boarding and Jett loved swimming and floating in the ocean while someone stayed close by.  Brody even spent the last full day in surf school.  It was a great time to get away and be with family.  We all had so much fun that by the end of the week we had almost forgot about the pandemic.

Tristan Turns 3!

Tristan is the most fun loving, sweet, and adorable little boy and now he is 3.  He is always laughing, is rarely upset, and loves to tinker with toys and tries to keep up with his older brothers.  We adore his long hair and since he just potty trained I just love his little but in his big boy undies.  To celebrate this year we had a small family party secondary to Covid.  We filled the house with balloons, and had cake, ice cream and presents.

4th Of July Shenanigans

This year we celebrated the 4th of July with Jon and the girls.  Mamiko was recovering from surgery so she stayed home and rested but we sure did miss her.  We started off the weekend celebrations with a watermelon smash.  One of the first times we hung out with Jon, Mamiko and the girls they introduced us to a game where you are blindfolded, spun around and given a wooden stick to try to smash open a watermelon.  This time the watermelon lasted a bit longer and it was fun to see everyone try to smash it open.  We finished off the night with a delicious dinner, and an AMAZING firework show put on by Jon and Dave.  Everyone decided to stay and all the kids slept downstairs in the living room together.  Dave and Jon were the first ones up and they watched Jett wake up next.  He stretched, bounced up and ran out the front door to pee off the porch.  After a great breakfast we all went canoeing, and finished up with a great dinner at Proud Mary's.  It was a great 4th celebration!
