Jett Turns 5

This year we celebrated Jett's birthday at the farm.  Dave and I decided a few years back that we would allow the kids to have big parties with friends on their 5th, 10th, 13th, 16th, and 18th birthdays. This should have been Jett's big party but since we had recently changed schools he really didn't have any close friends that he wanted to invite.  This sounds sad but Jett really just lives in his happy world and doesn't seem to need to be with others kids to have a great time.  We also were unable to throw a big party due to the start of the Covid 19 global pandemic which I will write about later.

Anyway, we had a small family gathering at the farm for Jett.  It was colder than we would have hoped for but he still had the best time.  It was exciting for us all to celebrate the first birthday in our new house.  We ate cake, opened presents and spent time outside watching Jett ride up and down the driveway in his new power wheel.  He surprisingly was able to drive the power wheel like he had been driving a car for years.  He knew how to turn the wheel to backup and change direction and even pulled right into Grandmas garage to visit her.  Grandma, Nanna and Clark gave Jett a gizmo watch so he could call all of us on the farm.  He took turns calling each and everyone of us over and over, and always started the conversation by saying, "How are you doing today."  It gave us all a good laugh.
