Catch up post for 2018

Well we are not starting off right this year.  It is almost March and I am just now getting to the blog.  I should probably just quit typing things like that because I always seem to have difficulty getting things written these days.
So in the beginning of January Monkey got married and Dave, Brody and I went to the wedding.  Brody had a great time dancing and ridding the party bus which he told us was not like a school bus.  Thanks to Grandma for watching Jett and Tristan, so we could enjoy our night out.

Tristan had his first solids which went well.  He also got allergy tested and was positive for dairy, egg and rice.

We had our first snow, but sadly it wasn't enough to sled in.

Brody lost his first tooth!

Jett Makes Another Trip To The ER

This week the kitchen bench turned over and literally smashed Jett's toe.  This injury landed us in the ER again where he was such a brave boy.  His toe ended up being broken, but just at the tip so he earned himself some nasal versed, a digit block and a good washout.  He was such a funny drunk!!  He couldn't stop talking, and especially about sticky tape.  When we finally got home he was to drunk to stand or walk and just laid face down on the living room floor laughing about how he couldn't get up.  It definitely gave Dave and I some comic relief after a stressful evening.  That night Jett bunked up with me so I could keep a close eye on him while he slept since he was still pretty loopy.  To my surprise he actually slept well and now that we are a few days out he has been a trooper and hasn't complained much about his toe.

Valentines Day 2018

This Valentines Day Dave was gone on his trip to Mexico and I was trying to survive single parenthood.  I took the week off which I am still not sure if that made my life easier or harder.  Anyway, the boys and I celebrated Valentines day with some yummy treats.  Nana also made a visit down and brought the boys some candy to enjoy.

Christmas 2017

Christmas this year was wonderful!!!! We had so much fun celebrating the season with Nana and Clark, Aaron, and Holly, and Nee Nee and Pa Paw the week prior and Peggy and the Groh's the week after.  Spreading out the Holiday made it last so much longer and helped keep the choas level to a minimum.  Brody and Jett really got into the Santa this year and it was a blast seing them so excited.  Tristan had no clue what was happening but he was a good sport being drug all over and having his "routine" interrupted. 

Christmas Tree 2017

We kept with tradition this year and took the boys to Barkers Christmas Tree farm to cut down our tree for the Holidays.  This year Brody and Jett both brought their own saws and helped Daddy cut it down.  We spent the remainder of the day decorating the tree and putting up the train.
