It has been crazy week. For starters I resigned and accepted a new job out of the blue. The new job fell into my lap on Wednesday and the deal was finalized Friday. I am sad to leave anesthesia associates but the new job will give me a more stable schedule which will alleviate a great deal of stress from my home life.
Brody continues to act pitiful and sick all weekend. He even passed his germs along to me and I had a fever all night Sunday and Monday morning. Dave and I decided he needed to see the doctor for at very least antibiotic ear drops. While there we learned he had pneumonia. He had acted pretty sick all day so I wasn't surprised. As I sat in the pediatrician's office I was having steady contractions but was so worried about Brody so
I prayed that the baby would not come that night. All through dinner I was uncomfortable and contracting but my prayers were answered in so many ways. That night I slept well, Brody slept better than he had. Dave was kind enough to let me rest and take the night shift of albuterol and medication administration. When we woke, Brody was better than he had been in days and I felt rejuvenated. I now feel at peace with his status and am as ready as I can be for his brother or sister to make their appearance.
